    Though she lives in a 19th century stone farmhouse in Pennsylvania, Alison Miksch is a New York City based photographer. She shoots a variety of stories from food, to people, places, objects and gardens. Alison's affinity for natural light, color, and composition grew out of the beautiful photographs her father took throughout her childhood and her mother's background in the visual arts. She was given her first camera at the age of 16 and immediately began documenting everything around her particularly her family's meals. Whether raw or braised or growing on trees, her infatuation with the beauty of food remains a focal point of her work.
